Description of problem: C++ syntax highlighting got noticably slower with larger files (seems to be related to large comments in particular?) in the latest upgrade. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 7.3.944-1.fc18.x86_64 (old, but fine) 7.4.016-1.fc18.x86_64 (new, but slow)
This message is a reminder that Fedora 18 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 18. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '18'. This still occurs. It seems to be related to open braces or parentheses in large files.

This was related to the new regular expression engine in vim-7.4 and is supposed to be fixed now.
