Steps to reproduce?
1. run Pronterface, 2. connect to printer via /dev/ttyUSB0 or not connect, 3. press "Compose" button, 4. load any *.stl file, 5. press "Done" button then i have this error.
I cannot reproduce, are you sure this happens with any STL file?
Created attachment 803479 [details] file for reproduce error in pronterface For example. This file reproduce error in Pronterface. File is generated by OpenSCAD.
I am not able to reproduce this on Fedora 18 32bit or on anything else. I'm terribly sorry. There will be a new release of Printrun soon, so let's wait a bit and try again, OK?
OK. So, slicing is working, this error registration is little annoying. I think, error is somewhere in closing "Compose" application, may be because computer is slow.
Is this fixed?
No. New version also reproduce this error.
For confirmation, what's the output of the following command? rpm -q printrun Could you please try upstream master branch? https://github.com/kliment/Printrun If it's fixed there, say it and we'll try to locate the commit together. If it's also present in there, could you report it upstream? As I'm unable to reproduce it, I really cannot help you in any other way, sorry.
[fedia@localhost ~]$ rpm -q printrun пакет printrun не установлен [fedia@localhost ~]$ rpm -q pronterface pronterface-2013.10.19-6.fc18.i686 Well, i try install printrun, may be printrun and pronterface are different.
You don't need that one, my fault. What about the upstream version from master?
[fedia@localhost ~]$ rpm -q printrun printrun-2013.10.19-6.fc18.i686 This error is absent now. May be some file was broken or obsolete and install of printrun fix it.
Definitely should not happen. Could you please run: yum -y remove printrun* && yum -y install pronterface And then test again?
I have run: yum -y remove printrun* && yum -y remove pronterface* && yum -y install pronterface Error return again.
This is weird. Still cannot reproduce it, but now we are getting somewhere.
(in the meantime, let printrun be installed)
This message is a reminder that Fedora 18 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 18. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '18'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 18's end of life. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we may not be able to fix it before Fedora 18 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 18's end of life. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
Fedora 18 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2014-01-14. Fedora 18 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
