Description Justin R. Miller 2000-03-11 17:46:25 UTC
Hi,

Not sure which package within XFree86-3.3.6-15 and it's accompanying RPMS
does this, but something changes the permissions of /etc to 700. This
makes xfs impossible to start and is rather difficult to track down as xfs
says it can't read the config file but the file looks ok to you. I only
found out when I logged in as user and login couldn't read /etc/profile.

Justin
