Description of problem: When a modal window such as 'Guide me' is displayed, it would be nice to dock or minimize without having to close in order to go check on events or alerts. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): How reproducible: Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info:
in our application, all of the dialogs (including the Guide Me) are modal (i.e. block interaction with the "parent" window until closed). We need to define a docking/minimize behavior for a dialog, and then decide to which dialogs this behavior should be applied.
is this part of the changes planned in the gui re-haul?
(In reply to Itamar Heim from comment #3) > is this part of the changes planned in the gui re-haul? we'll take it into consideration.
Still relevant with 4.2 new UI?
(In reply to Yaniv Kaul from comment #6) > Still relevant with 4.2 new UI? Yes, and currently impossible to fix because, as Einav said in comment 2, all dialogs are still modal. We would like to become not so dialog-oriented. When that is achieved, this would be possible by using part of the page as a "dock", or perhaps by using the PatternFly wizard pattern.
