Description Tom Wood 2003-07-30 19:59:47 UTC
Description of problem:
It's pretty hard to run ksymoops against severn kernel issues when ksymoops
isn't there.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible: every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Watch SMP kernel oops
2. Pull out hair looking for ksymoops
3. Give up in hairless disgust...

Actual results: No ksymoops to be found. Find a README that explains how to go
to kernel.org and get it, but don't know how well it will work with a RH kernel,
especially a beta one.

Expected results: Run ksymoops so I can provided NEEDed info to another bug
I've filed.

Additional info: Will the box stock 2.4.21 ksymoops from kernel.org work right?

Comment 1 Bill Nottingham 2003-07-30 21:51:12 UTC
ksymoops shouldn't be needed; all symbols should be decoded in the kernel dumps
already.
