Description of procedure 3.21. "Reload the Application Server" [1] in chapter 3.6.8. is confusing. As for my understanding it says that the server is shut down. There is an an explanation in the following paragraph [2], which I believe should be mentioned part of [1] [1] Run the reload operation From the Management CLI, use the reload operation to shut the server down via the System.exit(0) system call. For more details on operation requests, refer to the topic Section 3.5.8, “Use Operations and Commands in the Management CLI”. [2] The application server reloads by shutting down all services and starting the runtime again. The Management CLI automatically reconnects.
After reading the following chapter, I am sure this needs to be rephrased. The text was copy pasted from Procedure 3.22. "Shut down the Application Server" [3] [3] Run the shutdown operation From the Management CLI, use the shutdown operation to shut the server down via the System.exit(0) system call. For more details on operation requests, refer to the topic Section 3.5.8, “Use Operations and Commands in the Management CLI”.
Docs notes ========== Topic edited: Reload the Application Server using the Management CLI [5520, revision 686325] I restructured the topic and removed some unnecessary structure as it obscured the meaningful content. When the A&C Guide is again rebuilt the amended text will be available for review at [1].
