Tried the qemu-kvm-0.12.1.2-2.355.el6.x86_64 that also hit the same issue.
host info:
# uname -r && rpm -q qemu-kvm
2.6.32-424.el6.x86_64
qemu-kvm-0.12.1.2-2.355.el6.x86_64

Also tried if did not enable kdump during in configuration, guest did not need to reboot again. Ennable kdump settings required rebooting the system to reallocate memory accordingly.
Base on above, I think this can make sense. So, I close this bug currently, please reopen it if any reasion or i make mistake about it.

Best Regards,
sluo
