Description of problem: SELinux is preventing /usr/bin/journalctl from using the 'ipc_lock' capabilities. ***** Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests ************************** If you believe that journalctl should have the ipc_lock capability by default. Then you should report this as a bug. You can generate a local policy module to allow this access. Do allow this access for now by executing: # grep journalctl /var/log/audit/audit.log | audit2allow -M mypol # semodule -i mypol.pp Additional Information: Source Context system_u:system_r:abrt_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 Target Context system_u:system_r:abrt_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 Target Objects [ capability ] Source journalctl Source Path /usr/bin/journalctl Port <Unknown> Host (removed) Source RPM Packages systemd-208-4.fc20.x86_64 Target RPM Packages Policy RPM selinux-policy-3.12.1-90.fc20.noarch Selinux Enabled True Policy Type targeted Enforcing Mode Enforcing Host Name (removed) Platform Linux (removed) 3.11.6-300.fc20.x86_64 #1 SMP Fri Oct 18 22:31:53 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 Alert Count 1 First Seen 2013-10-30 18:25:28 CET Last Seen 2013-10-30 18:25:28 CET Local ID 1740f3bd-d9e5-4eb5-b253-19881f8fd1fb Raw Audit Messages type=AVC msg=audit(1383153928.352:11251): avc: denied { ipc_lock } for pid=15423 comm="journalctl" capability=14 scontext=system_u:system_r:abrt_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 tcontext=system_u:system_r:abrt_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 tclass=capability type=SYSCALL msg=audit(1383153928.352:11251): arch=x86_64 syscall=mlock success=yes exit=0 a0=7fd5bda02000 a1=8000 a2=3 a3=7fffcc763bb0 items=0 ppid=15420 pid=15423 auid=4294967295 uid=0 gid=0 euid=0 suid=0 fsuid=0 egid=0 sgid=0 fsgid=0 ses=4294967295 tty=(none) comm=journalctl exe=/usr/bin/journalctl subj=system_u:system_r:abrt_t:s0-s0:c0.c1023 key=(null) Hash: journalctl,abrt_t,abrt_t,capability,ipc_lock Additional info: reporter: libreport-2.1.9 hashmarkername: setroubleshoot kernel: 3.11.6-300.fc20.x86_64 type: libreport
