Description of problem: I've been periodically seeing this logged (every few minutes or so): 15:02:01,925 ERROR [org.rhq.enterprise.server.remote.RemoteSafeInvocationHandler] (http-/0.0.0.0:7081-427) Failed to invoke remote request: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: SystemManagerBean from [Module "deployment.rhq.ear.rhq-server.jar:main" from Service Module Loader] at org.jboss.modules.ModuleClassLoader.findClass(ModuleClassLoader.java:190) [jboss-modules.jar:1.2.0.CR1] Obviously it exists. $ locate SystemManagerBean /usr/local/rhq-server/jbossas/standalone/data/timer-service-data/rhq.rhq-server.SystemManagerBean /usr/local/rhq-server/modules/org/rhq/server-startup/main/deployments/rhq.ear/rhq-server.jar/org/rhq/enterprise/server/system/SystemManagerBean$1.class /usr/local/rhq-server/modules/org/rhq/server-startup/main/deployments/rhq.ear/rhq-server.jar/org/rhq/enterprise/server/system/SystemManagerBean.class I wonder if there is a race condition in the class loader. Not seeing this on other servers. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 4.9 How reproducible: Probably rare. Maybe if the server is started under heavy load. Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Additional info:
Restarting the server does not fix the issue. The server definitely has a lot of clients, though. The confusing thing is why the name of the class is unqualified. I don't really have the full context, but what is being thrown is: /* 190 */ throw new ClassNotFoundException(className + " from [" + module + "]"); I would expect the class name to have the package. Is this coming from a 4.5.1 agent?
