Description pettyr 2000-03-21 10:25:24 EST
This error occured with 6.1 and is still occuring with the 6.2b installer.

(This error is based on a SCSI CD-ROM boot to installer.)
Upon Selecting "Upgrade" and clicking "NEXT", the installer queries the
bus to find the RedHat installation to upgrade. The installer returns a
window stating "Error mounting ext2 filesystem on sdc1: Invalid Argument".

The output from the other tty's is as follows:
>>
tty3:

Ok, i'm not quite a newbie but i still goofed!

/dev/sdc1 contained a 722Mb partition which was never formatted. This raw
partition was used by my cdr software as an image cache. This is why /dev/sdc1
would never mount as EXT2, hence the error at the top of the message!
