Description: This open source, digitizing software converts an image file
showing a graph or map, into numbers.
The image file can come from a scanner, digital camera
or screen-shot. The numbers can be read on the screen,
and written or copied to a spreadsheet.
The process starts with an image file containing a graph or map.
The final result is digitized data that can be used by other tools
such as Gnumeric.

- Fix 'src/pointset.cpp' compilation error in EPEL
- Defined Qt3/Qt4 qmake
- Fix BR Qt4 for EPEL
- RPM_OPT_FLAGS fixed without patches

Comment 2 David Tardon 2013-11-13 16:49:56 UTC
Remarks:
* I suggest to use %{version} in Source0.

* I do not think it is a good idea to hardcode Fedora compilation * * options through a patch. Why not patch the Makefiles to use "CFLAGS = $(CFLAGS) -D..." (similarly for CXXFLAGS) and then pass CFLAGS="%{optflags}" as an argument to make?
** And I see that you have already solved it that way... So the patches can just be dropped, right?

* ## Fix 'src/pointset.cpp' compilation error.
sed -i '36a #include <algorithm>' src/digitdoc.cpp
sed -i '32a #include <algorithm>' src/pointset.cpp

Is upstream avare of this problem?

* Is there any reason why you are putting .cpp files to /include (or headers, for that matter? The package does not contain a library.)

* You need to add %exclude %{_includedir}/%{name}-%{version}/transpose/ to %files devel. The dir is currently duplicated in -devel and -transpose-devel.

Comment 3 David Tardon 2013-11-13 17:05:08 UTC
Another thing: you should consider putting %{_datadir}/%{name}-%{version} to a noarch subpackage.

Comment 4 Antonio T. (sagitter) 2013-11-13 17:08:42 UTC
(In reply to David Tardon from comment #2)

Makefiles already have CFLAGS/CXXFLAGS lines without any patches; early, I had patched these lines to use the right flags for the RPM building. But in this way, and still because of an unknown reason, the patches don't work in EPEL.
So I decided to use QMAKE_CFLAGS/QMAKE_CXXFLAGS directly.

Yes. http://sourceforge.net/p/digitizer/discussion/229857/thread/2ba6cf0a/#9c7d

No reason. If they are useless, then -devel packages can be removed ?

Yes, that would be best. There is no need to package someting that is not used.

- Data files splitted into a noarch -data subpackage
- .h/.cpp files not packaged anymore

Comment 7 David Tardon 2013-11-13 18:16:19 UTC
The Requires on data subpackage is wrong. It should be the main package that requires -data (which also means -data has to contain LICENSE), unless it works without it.

Ops! What a mistake!
Leave unchanged the release number.

Comment 9 David Tardon 2013-11-13 18:41:13 UTC
Note that -data must contain LICENSE. I will finish the review with the presumption it is there.
