Description of problem:
the kernel doesn't include a broadcom 440x driver, which is very common on new 
workstation boards. the driver was added to stock 2.4.22 today, so it shouldn't 
be a problem.

from the 2.4.22 changelog :

  o [netdrvr] add new broadcom 440x net driver, "b44"

1.install kernel

3.
    

Actual Results:  no driver for 440x

Expected Results:  should be driver for 440x

b44 is included in current kernels.
