Description of problem:
If a group maintainer alters a group name incorrectly, the error is hidden when the page is refreshed

How reproducible:
Easy, always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Sign in as admin, go to Groups
2. Select / Create a group
3. Go to the group's Settings -> General
4. Enter in an invalid name, e.g. more than 40 characters
5. Press Update general settings

Actual results:
Front page of group is shown, name unchanged

Expected results:
The group general settings page should be shown

Additional info:
Clicking on Settings -> General shows the error.
