Description of problem: Running argus -r some.pcap -w some.pcap.argus crashes on fedora with a: *** glibc detected *** argus: double free or corruption (fasttop): 0x00007f9aeff66f70 *** error. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): 3.0.6.1.3.fc20 Also reproduced on 3.0.4.3.fc18. How reproducible: run the argus command above on any pcap Additional info: There is a work around and that is to comment out the three ARGUS_BIND_IP lines in the /etc/argus.conf config file. ARGUS_BIND_IP="::1,127.0.0.1" ARGUS_BIND_IP="127.0.0.1" ARGUS_BIND_IP="192.168.0.68" These lines shouldn't be uncommented anyways, even for daemon mode. Why would the default config be monitoring 192.168.0.68 anyways?
I'm looking at the current version and I see that it's commented out by default.
