Description Brian Lane 2013-11-26 17:17:29 UTC
systemd needs /etc/machine-id to boot. When installing a live image we skip copying the host's machine-id, but if dracut-rescue-config hasn't been included in the image's kickstart nothing generates the new system's machine-id

At the end of a live installation anaconda needs to check to see if one has been generated and call systemd-machine-id-setup if it is missing.

upstream commit 0e6109208676

Comment 4 Jan Stodola 2014-03-25 14:02:56 UTC
/etc/machine-id is present on a system installed from a live media using liveinst, anaconda-19.31.70-1.el7. Installed system boots correctly.

Moving to VERIFIED.
