E.g., I have some understanding of the present and future value, but still I haven't been able to compute with the Calculator even simple =FV(0.05,10,0,1000) (using LibreOffice notation). I have been surprised to find that the old gcalctool, although it had awful UI had much better documentation, so it would be probably a good idea to revive it back to Mallard form. The last change to the original documentation (as far as I have been able to find out) was at https://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-calculator/commit/?id=5ef567aa365313594a285bedbb9d5c3c5b030f2e (and whole file was removed in 5d9395d0236ebb5a02c34fe24d20557dbd0d7486 with rewrite to Mallard). Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): gnome-calculator-3.8.2-1.el7.x86_64 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1.try to calculate future value (e.g., what would be in LibreOffice =FV(0.05,10,0,1000) ) 2.click on FV button 3. Actual results: there is no clear explanation anywhere what value should go where (e.g., where goes the starting value) Expected results: math is hard, so some kind of real documentation would be helpful.
