Description of problem:

When the BPEL process returns a simple type (e.g. string), the value is not returned to the client (they get a 'null').

ER7

How reproducible:

Deploy the reproducer associated with SWITCHYARD-1867 and send a 'hello' request.


Actual results:

Exception indicating that a null response was being returned.


Expected results:

Hello <whatever text sent in the request>
