Description of problem: The chapter in the user guide about installing smart proxies by hand is not so relevant now the main installation guide documents the node-installer processs. It might still be useful in advanced scenarios where a user has an existing DNS or DHCP server, but should probably be moved to the installation guide and placed after the node section to reflect the "advanced" nature. https://access.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Satellite/6.0/html-single/User_Guide/index.html#chap-Smart_Proxies https://access.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Satellite/6.0/html-single/Installation_Guide/index.html#chap-Satellite_Nodes

We have multiple questions from customers caused by this confusion. Would be nice to have that fixed sooner than later.
Please ensure this is fixed in the next release at least, this continues to trip users up.
Hi Dominic, Thanks for the feedback. We'll take a look at the information regarding the installation of smart proxies and any changes will be in the next release. Thanks and have a great day, Megan
