Description helfman 2013-12-06 22:04:02 UTC
Description of problem:
When deleting errata in spacewalk v1.8, it will remove references to the package completely, and spacewalk webui has no knowledge of the package.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
1.8

How reproducible:

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Import errata for a package
2. Delete the errata for the package
3. Perform a search for the package

Actual results:
Package doesn't exist with a search in spacewalk webui.

Expected results:
Package should exist with a search in spacewalk webui.

Additional info:
Performing an rhnpush restored the metadata associated with the package. After this, I was able to perform a publishing of the errata that associated the package with its' errata.

After deleting the errata, rhn-clone-errata.py complained about the missing package until rhnpush was re-run.

Comment 2 Michael Mráka 2019-09-16 11:52:01 UTC
Spacewalk 2.8 (and older) has already reached it's End Of Life.

Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not
able to fix it before end of life. If you would still like
to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against current version
of Spacewalk 2.9, you are encouraged change the 'version' and re-open it.
