Fedora's standard set of compiler options isn't used in the build. The spec file defines GPRBUILD_FLAGS as an environment variable but the makefiles don't pick it up because they assign the default value with "=" and not "?=". There was a patch that changed the assignments in the makefiles, but it was dropped in September 2012. An easier way to fix it without patching makefiles is to override GPRBUILD_FLAGS on the Make command line.
