Fedor, could you please provide how you hit this bug? I ran into it too, with a pretty simple reproducer: [bug 1048330].
For me I have created this file: $ cat ~/.config/redshift.conf [redshift] temp-day=6500 #temp-night=3600 #gamma=0.8 #adjustment-method=vidmode location-provider=manual [manual] lat=49 lon=16 then quit redshift-gtk (right click to task bar icon -> Quit) and started it again.
I just ran redshift, now i created config file with manual location and it works great
