Description:

Currently Hyper-V supports Glance VHD images only (with VHDX support coming in Havana).

AMI images are very popular in OpenStack and can be supported in Hyper-V by creating a VHD/VHDX disk starting from AMI/ARI/AKI sources in the Nova Hyper-V driver.

There is no formal support for Hyper-V in RHELOSP at this time.
