Description of problem:
Rendering problems after changing desktop background.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
gnome-shell-3.8.4-14.el7.x86_64

How reproducible:
almost always, when changing between 2 static pictures or 2 dynamic backgrounds.

Steps to Reproduce:
Navigate: "User menu - Settings - Background"
Click on current wallpaper.
Scroll down through wallpaper previews.
Pick one and click on "Select".

Actual results:
see screenshots

Expected results:
background should be changes in all views

Additional info:
third screenshot is after gnome-shell restart: Alt+F2 + r
