Description:

Implementing AWS CloudWatch API for ceilometer will make ceilometer more general, because many third-partys have developed a lot of tools to collect mornitoring data based on CloudWatch API. If ceilometer has cloudwatch api, we can use these tools without any change. Further more, this will also help people migrate off of a closed system and on to an open one.
