Description of problem: It would be nice if there was some indication of what the application does once they've logged in. The user is just presented with an empty search bar, and an empty table. There should be an empty table string that tells the user they can enter a search term to find related kbase articles or something. Actually, looking it over again, there is helper text, but it's implemented in such a way that the user doesn't see it normally. When the user logs in, the search bar has focus, so they can start typing a search term. If you don't type anything and click off of it, into the empty table below, then helper text is revealed in the search bar. It doesn't show when the field has focus, so you would never see it normally. That string needs to be in the table underneath. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): redhat-access-gui-1.0.0-3.el7 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Log into RH Access Actual results: I see an empty search bar that has focus, and an empty bottom pane, and some branding and a link off to Portal below that pane Expected results: Some indication of what this app does for me, what I should do next, etc etc It looks like it's trying to, but that helper text in the search bar doesn't show unless they click off of it, and it has focus when they log in (which is good), and there's nothing else to do in the app, so there's no reason for them to have it lose focus, and reveal the instructions. This is now fixed in redhat-access-gui-1.0.0-5. Need acks for new build.
Please use the search bar above to search the Red Hat Knowledgebase for Articles and Solutions looks good but after double clicking it I get Couldn't connect to customer portal error. Can we remove the double click action from it? or focus the search bar when double clicked?
Yep, I can remove the double click action from it until it is populated with actual search results. Will take care of that shortly.
Resolved in redhat-access-gui-1.0.0-6
