Created attachment 837154 [details] Add AUTH TLS command to application Description of problem: The sslscan application does not support FTPS (not to be mixed with SFTP). To enable FTPS, the AUTH TLS command must be sent to the server before initiating the TLS connection. The patch was sent to upstream, but nobody replied. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Any.

Hello Stephan, this is deffinitely nice stuff, but I would really recommend to push improvements to the mainstream. Please can you post it to the upstream http://sourceforge.net/p/sslscan/patches/ and try to contact Ian Ventura-Whiting <fizz AT titania.co.uk> directly? Thank you Michal Ambroz
Patch added to SF site Patch was sent to Ian about a month ago, but nobody replied since
Hi Stephan, Apparently DinoTools has take over the sslscan project. http://www.dinotools.org/tag/sslscan.html https://github.com/DinoTools/sslscan/issues Please can you try contacting them? I would guess your patch will be welcomed to the fork. This fork is already packaged for Fedora as there was no update in the original package for ages. Best regards Michal Ambroz
(In reply to Michal Ambroz from comment #4) > > This fork is already packaged for Fedora as there was no update in the > original package for ages. If that version is now packaged for Fedora, this bug can be closed as --starttls-ftp implements the update I offer. Please close that bug at your discretion if you are shipping that fork. Thanks Stephan
Fedora ships the dinotools fork.
