Can you describe a little more detailed what happend?
Did this issue occurs frequently ?

I think it happened when I changed desktop (Mate to LXDE then back to Mate) - sorry I really can't remember - it only happened that once as far as I'm aware

Ok, i will leave the bug a while open, feel free to post here if it happens again.
But without more info i've no chance to forward the issue to upstream, because it isn't reproducable.
