Description of problem: machine Lenovo ThinkServer TS140 Tower Server
monitor: Dell G2410 24" 1920 x 1080 full HD Available connectors: VGA (analog), DVI-D (digital) with HDCP.
VGA cable used between machine and monitor. VGA output on machine and VGA input on monitor.


Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/20/Fedora/x86_64/iso/Fedora-20-x86_64-DVD.iso used to install OS.

How reproducible:Install with default settings and after installation the monitor resolution is only 800x600 or 1024x768 with "unknown" monitor.


Steps to Reproduce:
1.Connect PC's VGA output with VGA cable to VGA input on monitor.
2.Burn the DVD iso image Fedora-20-x86_64-DVD.iso
3.Install on ThinkServer TS140 Tower Server

Actual results: Only two non-native resolutions after installation:
800x600 and 1024x768


Expected results:
Native 1920 x 1080 full HD resolution after installation.

Intel® Core™ i3-4130 Processor with Intel® HD graphics 4400
Lenovo motherboard Intel® C226 Chipset

Just tested system with windows 7.After installation same story only 2 resolutions available 800x600 and 1024x768. Next, installed latest Intel HD 4400 graphics driver, now the native resolution 1920x1080 works perfectly.

Tested with Linux Mint 16 and openSUSE 13.1. Same problem persists.

The problem was fixed by replacing VGA cable with a new one.
