plymouth-set-default-theme -R doesn't change theme in initramfs

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
RHEL-7.0-20131127.1

Steps to Reproduce:
 1. Run: yum -y install plymouth-plugin*
 2. Download theme from: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/
    SpaceFun+Fedora+Plymouth+theme?content=144162
 3. Extract theme to location: "tar xf Downloads/
    144162-plymouth-theme-spacefun-fedora.tar.gz -C /"
 4. Run: plymouth-set-default-theme -R spacefun-fedora
 5. Run: /usr/libexec/plymouth/plymouth-update-initrd
 6. Reboot computer.

Actual results:
Old Plymouth theme stays.
You have to run "dracut -f" to theme change become visible during boot.

Expected results:
You should see new Plymouth theme during boot and shutdown.

pesumably a simple fix, devack+

Comment 3 Vladimir Benes 2014-02-11 13:52:53 UTC
Ray,
is this going to be in ET or should we verify this way?

Comment 4 Ray Strode [halfline] 2014-02-12 02:00:52 UTC
a newer version is already in errata tool. plymouth changed version schemes to make rel-eng build scripts work better.

i've updated the Fixed In field to the latest build of plymouth for clarity.
