Description of problem: If I use file-roller to create an archive (e.g. from Nautilus), it should do compression in multiple threads if possible. xz, pigz, pbzip2 all support using multiple threads to significantly speed up archive operations on multicore systems. file-roller should do the same. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): file-roller-3.8.3-1.fc19.x86_64 How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. create e.g. xz archive with file-roller 2. run the 'top' utility to see its CPU usage Actual results: CPU usage slightly over 100 % on a 4core system Expected results: almost 400 % CPU usage on a 4core system

I don't see anything done which could be fixing this issue in newer releases.
