Description Paul Stauffer 2014-01-28 14:08:56 EST
Description of problem:

There is an error in the documentation for upgrading from RHEV-M 3.2 to 3.3:

https://access.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization/3.3/html/Installation_Guide/Upgrading_to_Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization_Manager_3.3.html

The step "rhn-channel --remove --channel=rhel-6-server-rhevm-3.2" is in error. The correct command is "rhn-channel --remove --channel=rhel-x86_64-server-6-rhevm-3.2".

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
RHEV-M 3.3

Actual results:
Running the command as currently printed does not remove the intended software channel, because the channel name used is incorrect. It does not return an error either, which might leave the sysadmin thinking the intended channel had been disabled when in fact it had not.

Expected results:
The rhel-x86_64-server-6-rhevm-3.2 channel should be removed.

Additional info:
Note that I initially tried to report this bug using the "Report a bug" link at the bottom of that documentation page. However that took me to a RH bugzilla "permission denied" error: "Sorry, either the product Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Manager does not exist or you aren't authorized to enter a bug into it." I am opening this bug report against RHEL 6, since indeed RHEV was not an option given for selecting the product to report against. Not sure if that's intentional, or if that is a bug in itself.
