Description Sean Flanigan 2014-02-04 02:43:31 UTC
Description of problem:
The resteasy package is pulling in springframework-webmvc and infinispan as dependencies, which pull in a lot of server-side dependencies. This is pretty excessive when using resteasy as a client.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
3.0.1-3.fc20

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Obtain a fresh F20 (eg: docker run -i -t mattdm/fedora:f20 /bin/bash)
2. yum install resteasy
3. Observe package list

Actual results:

yum install summary for Fedora 20:
Total download size: 198 M
Installed size: 350 M

yum install summary for Rawhide:
Total download size: 212 M
Installed size: 394 M

Expected results:

Something closer to this would be nice.
yum install summary for Fedora 19:
Total download size: 58 M
Installed size: 155 M

Additional info:

Going on the spec changes, it looks like XMvn might be involved.
