Description Attila Fazekas 2014-02-06 09:54:07 UTC
Description of problem:
openstack-swift-1.12 is available for f20, but not fro epel6.

Comment 1 Lars Kellogg-Stedman 2014-02-12 16:46:24 UTC
Just verified that this is the case; on two systems, both with http://rdo.fedorapeople.org/openstack-icehouse/rdo-release-icehouse.rpm (providing rdo-release-icehouse-1.noarch):

F20:

Name : openstack-swift
Arch : noarch
Version : 1.12.0
Release : 1.fc21
Repo : openstack-icehouse/20

EL6:

# yum info openstack-swift
Name : openstack-swift
Arch : noarch
Version : 1.11.0
Release : 1.el6
From repo : openstack-icehouse

Comment 2 Pete Zaitcev 2014-03-07 21:35:12 UTC
Attila, sorry for the delay. I fixed it all up, update should roll out
as Bodhi goes about it. See
 https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/openstack-swift-1.12.0-2.el6

Comment 3 Alan Pevec 2014-07-29 22:58:39 UTC
Swift 1.12.0 was a Icehouse milestone release https://launchpad.net/swift/icehouse

If we have pushed it, then we should push 1.13.1 update too.

Note that all other openstack-* are going to be retired from EPEL6 - they're unlike Swift incompatible on upgrades hence stuck at Folsom which is EOL upstream.

Comment 4 Alan Pevec 2014-07-29 23:49:53 UTC
Actually, keeping updated dependencies in EPEL6 would be an issue so it's best to retire openstack-swift too and redirect users to RDO.
