Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 1072428
Partial explanation of vNIC Profile function
Last modified: 2015-05-04 21:44:42 EDT
Title: VNIC Profile Overview Describe the issue: The function of vNIC Profiles is not completely explained. Specifically, I would expect some sentence stating that profiles are the view of a network as seen by VMs, i.e. that VMs nowadays use logical networks in RHEV only via a profile. Also, since a vNIC Profile is actually a more general concept than QoS, I would expect that to be explained first, and for QoS to appear afterwards as one (important) attribute belonging to a profile. Suggestions for improvement: Described above. Additional information:
Also, I would link to this section from the Create VM or Manage VM sections, when the VM's interfaces are discussed.
Fixed in 25667, CS13109.
