Red Hat Bugzilla – Bug 1075516
[Docs] [Feature] [Admin] OpenStack Neutron Integration - Security Groups
Last modified: 2014-08-25 01:57:01 EDT
OpenStack Neutron integration will give users the ability to use various technologies that OpenStack Neutron provides for its networks, such as IPAM, L3 routing, and security groups, as well as the capability to use technologies not natively supported in oVirt for VM networks. This feature still does not include migration for security groups, which will be added in an upcoming release during the 3.4 release cycle. -- http://www.ovirt.org/OVirt_3.4_Release_Notes http://www.ovirt.org/Features/Detailed_OSN_Integration

Documentation Link ------------------------------ http://documentation-devel.engineering.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization/3.4/html-single/Administration_Guide/index.html#Creating_a_VNIC_Profile What Changed ------------------------------ This bug only targeted miscellaneous integration with Neutron; further bugs were raised for other Neutron-related content, and that content is described in those bugs. As such, this bug currently handles the new security groups integration feature provided in Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization, which is now documented as follows. The following topics were created or revised as outlined below. Creating a VNIC Profile [25199-627791] Added a note to Step 7. that the custom properties box is available by default for logical networks provided by external providers. Assigning Security Groups to VNIC Profiles [30335] Created this topic to outline how to assign security groups to VNIC profiles. Updated revision history: [30102-634253] NVR ------------------------------ Red_Hat_Enterprise_Virtualization-Administration_Guide-3.4-en-US-3.4-25 Moving to ON_QA.
I suggest to change description of the bz as it is about the VNIC profile part of Neutron integration only. As well at this point the custom properties is not greyed out for Neutron or non-Neutron network. It always has SecurityGroups key, so the doc should be updated accordingly.
