It is now possible to add ISCSI, NFS, FC, POSIX, and Gluster file system types to the same data center! https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1052318 Ayal Baron says: Note that this will only cover mixing 'shared' storage domain types, i.e. it will not enable adding 'local' domains to DCs with other types of storage. Any other combination should be fine (iscsi, nfs, fc, posix, gluster). Being able to also mix local and shared will be covered by bug 757291 (See also bug 757291)
Looks like this bug will consist of finding a topic in the Admin Guide about adding storage domains to data centers and adding a line about how you can now include storage domains of different types.
Added note explaining this in Admin Guide (and same topic in Install Guide) to the topic on adding a data domain to a data center. Updated table in Admin Guide data center properties table (which had noted that only one type of data domain can be added to a data center).
Another fix in Intro to RHEV Storage in Install Guide (which had noted that only one type of data domain can be added to a data center). I have also updated again the table under Type (in the Admin Guide) to reflect the actual output in the Administration Portal; that is, the available types are now 'local' or 'shared', rather than NFS, iSCSI, FC etc.
