Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Since this issue was entered in Red Hat Bugzilla, the release flag has been
set to ? to ensure that it is properly evaluated for this release.

Comment 4 Matej Kollar 2014-05-09 16:00:29 UTC
Problem persists even after "katello-service restart".

Comment 5 Brad Buckingham 2014-05-20 15:46:48 UTC
Created redmine issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/5830 from this bug

Comment 6 Ivan Necas 2014-05-21 07:53:19 UTC
What was the manifest?

Comment 7 Mike McCune 2014-06-05 00:22:55 UTC
this should no longer be occurring in the latest builds. if so, please move back onto 6.0.3 or close out if not.

Comment 9 Matej Kollar 2014-06-05 11:23:45 UTC
With my current compose (sat6-tools-Satellite-6.0.3-RHEL-6-20140528.3-rhcommon-x86_64-dvd1.iso), I am still unable to re-import manifest.

foreman_tasks/dynflow is not very verbose though:

  Status: paused Resume

  Result: error

  Started at: 2014-06-05 05:16:51 -0400

  Ended at:

      Plan
      Run
      Finalize

  	sequence concurrence
  2: Actions::Katello::Provider::ManifestImport (error) [ 1544.21s / 2.03s ] Skip
  Back

Comment 10 Matej Kollar 2014-06-05 14:38:34 UTC
Worth trying with newer compose?

Comment 11 Matej Kollar 2014-06-09 09:39:49 UTC
Build sat6-Satellite-6.0.3-RHEL-6-20140605.0-Satellite-x86_64-dvd1.iso still ends up with paused task & error result when I have tried to re-upload the same manifest.

Comment 12 Tom McKay 2014-06-26 14:39:55 UTC
This should be fully working in latest snap11 (or earlier)

Comment 13 sthirugn@redhat.com 2014-08-08 13:54:30 UTC
Verified. I am able to upload manifest with no errors.

Version Tested:
GA Snap 4 - Satellite-6.0.4-RHEL-6-20140806.0

Comment 14 sthirugn@redhat.com 2014-08-08 14:13:36 UTC
Also I was able to delete a manifest and reimport it.

But I got an error while uploading the same manifest to the same org - this is minor and is tracked in a new bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1128187

Comment 15 sthirugn@redhat.com 2014-08-08 14:15:02 UTC
@Matej:

Can you please review my Comment 13 and Comment 14 and confirm if you are okay with that?

Comment 16 Matej Kollar 2014-08-11 10:43:28 UTC
As long as there won't be some unfreed locks, I'm ok.

Comment 18 Bryan Kearney 2014-09-11 12:25:21 UTC
This was delivered with Satellite 6.0 which was released on 10 September 2014.
