Another user experienced a similar problem: I was just listening to a radio stream. reporter: libreport-2.2.2 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: rhythmbox crash_function: tracker_evt_update_orphan_item_cb executable: /usr/bin/rhythmbox kernel: 3.14.4-200.fc20.x86_64 package: rhythmbox-3.0.3-1.fc20 reason: rhythmbox killed by SIGSEGV runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000
I'm getting really a lot of these random crashes.
Another user experienced a similar problem: Starting rhythmbox and opening a few other apps via the dash. I'm on dual monitor setup if that matters. reporter: libreport-2.2.2 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: rhythmbox crash_function: tracker_evt_update_orphan_item_cb executable: /usr/bin/rhythmbox kernel: 3.14.4-200.fc20.x86_64 package: rhythmbox-3.0.3-1.fc20 reason: rhythmbox killed by SIGSEGV runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000
Another user experienced a similar problem: Just open Rhythmbox and play. It ends up freezing and later stops playing and gets killed. reporter: libreport-2.2.2 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: rhythmbox crash_function: tracker_evt_update_orphan_item_cb executable: /usr/bin/rhythmbox kernel: 3.14.5-200.fc20.x86_64 package: rhythmbox-3.0.3-1.fc20 reason: rhythmbox killed by SIGSEGV runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000
Another user experienced a similar problem: Maybe not this exact crash, but I can make rhythmbox crash. While playing something in rhythmbox I started searching in gnome shell overview. 1. Run rhythmbox 2. Play something (during this crash I was playing some aac radio, but then reproduced crash while playing flac file) 3. Press windows key to get gnome shell overview. 4. start typing something to search (I typed "hello" when reproducing crash, do not press enter) 5. wait short while, rhythmbox crashes I have no idea if this can be related, but I am also running rygel (from gnome settings -> sharing) and I noticed that rhythmbox shows Stevko's media (my media share) several times in sidebar (now I see it seven times). reporter: libreport-2.2.2 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: rhythmbox crash_function: tracker_evt_update_orphan_item_cb executable: /usr/bin/rhythmbox kernel: 3.14.8-200.fc20.x86_64 package: rhythmbox-3.0.3-1.fc20 reason: rhythmbox killed by SIGSEGV runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000
Another user experienced a similar problem: Just played music from a mediatomb server... reporter: libreport-2.2.2 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: rhythmbox crash_function: tracker_evt_update_orphan_item_cb executable: /usr/bin/rhythmbox kernel: 3.14.7-200.fc20.x86_64 package: rhythmbox-3.0.3-1.fc20 reason: rhythmbox killed by SIGSEGV runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000

On my system I can reproduce it 100% if I save an image while Rhythmbox is playing something.
Another user experienced a similar problem: Open rhythmbox and press play. reporter: libreport-2.2.2 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: rhythmbox crash_function: tracker_evt_update_orphan_item_cb executable: /usr/bin/rhythmbox kernel: 3.14.8-200.fc20.x86_64 package: rhythmbox-3.0.3-1.fc20 reason: rhythmbox killed by SIGSEGV runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000
Another user experienced a similar problem: Hi, I play the one song (mp3) from my music list and the music player crash on this song. I think the song direct is not the problem :) Thanks for support. Michael reporter: libreport-2.2.2 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: rhythmbox crash_function: tracker_evt_update_orphan_item_cb executable: /usr/bin/rhythmbox kernel: 3.14.5-200.fc20.x86_64 package: rhythmbox-3.0.3-1.fc20 reason: rhythmbox killed by SIGSEGV runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000
Another user experienced a similar problem: Whenever rhythmbox plays something, and something else trigger a tracker update (saving a picture, searching something from gnome-shell...) this crash happens. It does not happen with rhythmbox 3.0.2, so it's a regression of 3.0.3 reporter: libreport-2.2.2 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: rhythmbox crash_function: tracker_evt_update_orphan_item_cb executable: /usr/bin/rhythmbox kernel: 3.15.4-200.fc20.x86_64 package: rhythmbox-3.0.3-1.fc20 reason: rhythmbox killed by SIGSEGV runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000
this happens regularly for me when rhythmbox is playing and i start or do anything with the terminal
Same for me as in comment 22 RB needs some serious attention from the GNOME people, its quality is well below par.
Another user experienced a similar problem: I was trying to extract an audio CD. reporter: libreport-2.2.3 backtrace_rating: 4 cmdline: rhythmbox crash_function: tracker_evt_update_orphan_item_cb executable: /usr/bin/rhythmbox kernel: 3.15.4-200.fc20.x86_64 package: rhythmbox-3.0.3-1.fc20 reason: rhythmbox killed by SIGSEGV runlevel: N 5 type: CCpp uid: 1000
This is actually a bug in Grilo upstream: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=733582
This message is a reminder that Fedora 20 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 20. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '20'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 20 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
Fedora 20 changed to end-of-life (EOL) status on 2015-06-23. Fedora 20 is no longer maintained, which means that it will not receive any further security or bug fix updates. As a result we are closing this bug. If you can reproduce this bug against a currently maintained version of Fedora please feel free to reopen this bug against that version. If you are unable to reopen this bug, please file a new report against the current release. If you experience problems, please add a comment to this bug. Thank you for reporting this bug and we are sorry it could not be fixed.
