Turning the power on again gets me back to where I was. Both on the console and X. There is one problem. The LCD backlight won't come back on. So I almost can't see what's on my screen.. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): apmd-3.0.2-20 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. apm -s 2. turn back on laptop 3. UI is hardly visible because the LCD backlight is off. Expected Results: Backlight that is restored to the correct/previous brightness level. Additional info:
This is almost certainly an interaction between the kernel or X and your APM bios.
Thanks for the bug report. However, Red Hat no longer maintains this version of the product. Please upgrade to the latest version and open a new bug if the problem persists. The Fedora Legacy project (http://fedoralegacy.org/) maintains some older releases, and if you believe this bug is interesting to them, please report the problem in the bug tracker at: http://bugzilla.fedora.us/
