Description Frank Büttner 2014-06-21 10:07:42 UTC
Description of problem:
When I try to use the mysql workbench it will crash with:
/usr/libexec/mysql-workbench/mysql-workbench-bin: relocation error: /usr/lib64/mysql-workbench/libmysqlcppconn.so.7: symbol mysql_server_init, version libmysqlclient_18 not defined in file libmysqlclient.so.18 with link time reference

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
mariadb-libs-5.5.37-1.fc19.x86_64

How reproducible:
start mysql workbench an try to connect to an server.

For F20 it seem to be fixed:

Comment 1 Honza Horak 2014-06-27 06:21:51 UTC
Thanks for reporting. I believe adding alternative (not default) version libmysqlclient_18 for symbols that currently have version libmysqlclient_16 fixes it.
