Description of problem:
When I try to use the mysql workbench it will crash with:
/usr/libexec/mysql-workbench/mysql-workbench-bin: relocation error: /usr/lib64/mysql-workbench/libmysqlcppconn.so.7: symbol mysql_server_init, version libmysqlclient_18 not defined in file libmysqlclient.so.18 with link time reference
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
start mysql workbench an try to connect to an server.
For F20 it seem to be fixed:
Thanks for reporting. I believe adding alternative (not default) version libmysqlclient_18 for symbols that currently have version libmysqlclient_16 fixes it.

This is a patch I'd like to apply.
When an test rpm exits, I will get it an try.
mariadb-5.5.38-3.fc20 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 20.
mariadb-5.5.38-3.fc19 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 19.
Tested an now now error occurs.
Sorry for the mistake.
Now no errors occurs.

* was pushed to the Fedora 20 testing repository,
* should be available at your local mirror within two days.
Update it with:
# su -c 'yum update --enablerepo=updates-testing mariadb-5.5.38-3.fc20'
