Description Mike McCune 2014-06-25 15:32:57 UTC
The setup instructions for katello-disconnected are rather long and possibly error prone:

sudo service qpidd start
sudo chkconfig qpidd on
sudo service mongod start
sleep 10
sudo chkconfig mongod on
sudo -u apache pulp-manage-db
sudo service httpd restart
sudo chkconfig pulp_workers on
sudo service pulp_workers start
sudo chkconfig pulp_celerybeat on
sudo service pulp_celerybeat start
sudo chkconfig pulp_resource_manager on
sudo service pulp_resource_manager start

Lets build a puppet based installer that re-uses the existing Pulp puppet modules to make it easier to setup katello-disconnected.

The katello-disconnected server synchronization and export functions are being moved into the Satellite server itself. With 6.2, the katello-disconnected command will no longer be delivered and instead will be replaced with a new export and import functions delivered via the UI and hammer CLI. This bug is being closed as "WONTFIX" since it relates only to the existing katello-disconnected tooling. Please check the Satellite docs with the release of Satellite 6.2 on how to use the new content export and import features.
