Description of problem: There MUST be a way to disable "Automatically resize" check menu which is enabled by default. I have 3 VMs. Each of them has 3 QXL monitors attached to each guest (with SPICE tools installed). Required required resolution is bigger than monitors attached to the host. By default the "Automatically resize" check is enabled. Now, every time I start `virt-viewer`, its window gets squeezed to the resolution of the host. Therefore, all three monitors on each VM auto-resize to the available resolution. I have to go to each 3 VMs x 3 monitors = 9 clicks to just disable the "Automatically resize" check. Then I go to each VM and restore all display settings to their original required resolution another 9 monitors x N clicks = 9 X N times!!! Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): > yum info virt-viewer Installed Packages Name : virt-viewer Arch : x86_64 Version : 0.6.0 Release : 1.fc20 Steps to Reproduce: 1. Just install SPICE guest tools, for example: http://www.spice-space.org/page/MultiHeadVirtManagerWindowsGuests 2. Open VM using `virt-viewer` to see that this "Automatically resize" is always on. 3. Disable "Automatically resize". Close all `virt-viewer` windows. Perform step 2 again, continue looping. Actual results: "Automatically resize" check is always on. Expected results: There should be a command line option to disable "Automatically resize" or anything else to avoid this default.
This message is a reminder that Fedora 20 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 4 (four) weeks from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 20. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as EOL if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '20'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version. Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that we were not able to fix it before Fedora 20 is end of life. If you would still like to see this bug fixed and are able to reproduce it against a later version of Fedora, you are encouraged change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior this bug is closed as described in the policy above. Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's lifetime, sometimes those efforts are overtaken by events. Often a more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes bugs or makes them obsolete.
In fact it appears virt-viewer dropped the 'automatically resize' support these days, so this is no longer relevant
