Dear Stefan, apparently it's not a bug but a feature, please see https://sourceforge.net/p/gretl/bugs/184/ Also there you could find an explanation for the broken Umlauts. Hope this helps, Johannes
Ok, thanks. I missed that 'feature' ie Gui change. Actually it is not in http://gretl.sourceforge.net/ChangeLog.html . However this is an upstream issue and I am glad that I can work with the newer version now. Thanks for caring. I will try to close the bug now. Viele Grüße Stefan
