Description Tom McKay 2014-06-30 19:35:38 UTC
Searching for a content host by id has stopped working. This makes links from a host to its virtual guests in the UI return no results. The search like

id:1

worked until recently.

Created from redmine issue http://projects.theforeman.org/issues/6449

Tom, is this search by UI, CLI, API...etc?

If possible, can you provide some steps for reproducing. That would certainly help QE and for triaging.

Comment 4 Tom McKay 2014-08-28 14:35:31 UTC
The best way to demonstrate this is by trying to click through the link of a hypervisor's guests in the UI.

Comment 5 Kedar Bidarkar 2014-08-28 15:07:10 UTC
Verification steps for QE:

1. register hypervisor
2. register hypervisor guests
3. virt-who to make associations, just need to install virt-who pkg and start the service.
4. visit content host UI for hypervisor via 'Details Tab' and click guest links

current observation with sat6-GA-snap6-compose3 is

Upon clicking the guests link as mentioned in the step 4, instead of displaying on the guests of that particular hypervisor all the "content hosts" are displayed.

Workaround: Refresh the page and it works.

Actual Result:

All the 'content hosts' are displayed.

Expected Result:

Only the 'guests' of the hypervisor should be displayed, without the need to refresh the page.

This is working for me in 6.1, moving to ON_QA for verification.

VERIFIED as per comment5

with build sat6.1 beta snap6 compose2
