Created attachment 913787 [details] wrong recognized odt Hi looks like some MP3/ODT files are now recognized as application/octet-stream which is not that good in case of web-applications verify uploads with mod_security on the other hand a windows BMP now goes from application/octet-stream to image/x-ms-bitmap but they are not so often used i attach a diff-file with the outputs from my test-file directory as well as the "test.odf", the MP3 is some commercial song and in case if needed i guess i should send it "off-list"
Created attachment 913788 [details] diif of the output "file --mime-type *" with both versions
Thanks for testing, I will fix it and push 5.19-2 tomorrow.
wow - *that* was fast :-) i guess i will catch a lot of additional testfiles over the time and write some automatism to watch changes because i am at verify mimetypes in our own applications much stronger PHP also don't make me that happy in this context :-( https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=67516
If you have testing files under "free" license, you could send them to my email and I will add them into my testing database: https://fedorahosted.org/file-tests/ I'm running that test-suite before every update in fedora to be sure there are no big regressions and to check the changes between File releases.
> Thanks for testing, I will fix it and push 5.19-2 tomorrow looks like you forgot this one there is a 5.19-2 for F21/F22 but that changes only some license stuff, at least the attached ODF should result in the the correct mime type....
