Description Hans 2014-07-02 04:03:18 UTC
Description of problem:

systemctl doesn't start zabbix-server.service

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Fedora release 20 (Heisenbug)

zabbix-server-2.0.12-3.fc20.x86_64
zabbix-web-mysql-2.0.12-3.fc20.noarch
zabbix-server-mysql-2.0.12-3.fc20.x86_64
zabbix-web-2.0.12-3.fc20.noarch
zabbix-2.0.12-3.fc20.x86_64

How reproducible:

Install the application from scratch, configure it with the DB details in /etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf, disable SELinux and launch the application.

The Zabbix web GUI will report about "Zabbix server is not running."
Also with the following errors in sys log.

Jul 2 09:07:18 192168012024 systemd-tmpfiles: [/etc/tmpfiles.d/zabbix.conf:1] Unknown user 'zabbix'.

The daemon is not starting and the application as the result is unable to communicate via port 10051

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install and configure the application
2. Start the web UI
3. check the web interface for the error or 'netstat -an | grep 10051
4. run '

# systemctl list-unit-files | grep zabb
zabbix-server-mysql.service disabled
zabbix-server.service disabled

# systemctl start zabbix-server

and nothing happens.

Additional info:
