Does it 'just work' if you do 'modprobe cs4232'?
Comment 8 Mike 2003-12-15 20:35:33 EST
Yes!

Hi
I have a GX1, and am experiancing the same problem. Only difference is I am
running FC3, and don't have /proc/isapnp. I have tried the above advice, but to
no avail. I suspect it just needs tweeking, but don't know enough to workout the
tweek. :-)

For FC3, you'd need to load snd-cs4232.
Comment 11 Daniel Goodman 2005-04-12 14:28:34 EDT
Hi
I had tried that with no luck.

Comment 12 Daniel Goodman 2005-04-13 05:19:38 EDT
Having experimented a bit more, that did work, but gnome volume control doesn't
realise it, so had volume turned down to zero and muted. Was able to correct
this using alsamixer. :-)

Thanks for your help.

This should work better as of FC4. Please reopen if this persists on current
releases.
