Description Lars Kellogg-Stedman 2014-07-15 16:34:40 UTC
In order to customize some aspects of the staypuft-orchestrated deployment (such as network provisioning), it is necessary to edit the Kickstart template. There are several problems with this:

- For someone unfamiliar with Foreman, the location of the templates may not be obvious.
- Even if someone is familiar with Kickstart, the template syntax used in Foreman may be confusing.
- There are *lots* of provisioning templates, and the one that needs to be edited is actually on the second page of results.

There should be a shortcut from somewhere within the StayPuft UI to edit the correct provisioning template.

It might make sense to modify the default template to include something like a "staypuft custom" snippet in an appropriate place in the configuration:

    <%= snippet 'staypuft_custom' %>

And then have a menu option that would allow the user to directly edit that snippet. Even if we were to adopt this option, we would still want to make it easier to find the actual template.
