Description David Mason 2014-07-18 02:51:04 UTC
Description of problem:
There was some problem looking up a user's username, but the logged exception is not very helpful since it reports a null pointer exception in a set of chained method calls.

Chained method calls should only be used if they cannot return null, otherwise calls should be decomposed so that they at least give an error that can be traced to a specific thing being null, but ideally so that appropriate null checks can be put in place.
