Posted steps to reproduce don't work because /bin is a symlink, fixed reproducer follows: $ ll /bin/ | grep api-sanity-checker
I noticed this just the other day. Thanks for the bug report, it let's me know people are actually using this! I'll check with upstream to see if this is on purpose for some reason.
